2023 MnUSA Fall Workshop

Published on 11/10/2023

Representative Jon Koznick joined the Lakeville SnoTrackers during dinner at the 2023 Fall Workshop. Lakeville, MN Hosted the MnUSA Fall Workshop October 21, 2023 at the Holiday Inn. The weekend event was attended by more than 200 snowmobilers statewide.

The SnoTrackers had four members attend the snowmobile safety trainer training conducted by DNR Co Bruce Lawrence.

More than 20 SnoTrackers volunteered throughout the weekend helping with setup and tear down, helping visitors find their way, working the registration table and selling MnUSA calendars.

The Saturday afternoon workshops were very informative including presentations by the DNR on grant writing, trail signage placement, Polaris Ride Command, planning trips and Lakeville EMS presented trail safety.

Our own Tim Heinen led a committee of region 6 club members, who planned, fund raised and hosted the balance of the states snowmobile enthusiasts.

Dinner guests were welcomed to Lakeville by Lakeville’s mayor Luke Hellier, who was quick to mention Lakeville SnoTrackers community involvement with safety training and Ritter fest.

Luke also mentioned we as outdoor enthusiast need to pay attention next November 2024 as the state legislature will need to reinstate the outdoor funding bill which sunsets at the end of 2024. Let’s all Pay Attention and ensure our representatives know how important this funding is to all outdoor enthusiasts.
